Fatima Masoud Nayel Al Mansoori is a leading Emirati researcher specializing in camel research. Al Mansoori has extensive studies that highlight distinctive camel breeds. Among the most prominent of these breeds is the Ogaden camel breed, found between Somalia and Ethiopia, known for its large size and whitish-gray color. In her book, “Camels in the Emirates: A Historical, Heritage, and Literary Study,” published by the Sheikh Zayed Heritage Center, Fatima Al Mansoori dedicated the first chapter to discussing the history of camels, particularly single-humped camels, which are originally found in the southern Arabian Peninsula. The second chapter was dedicated to camels in the Emirates, especially in archaeological discoveries confirming their presence in the region. In the fifth chapter, Al Mansoori focused on the role that camels play in the economic and social life of the Emirates. Her works are characterized by precision and depth, and she has made significant contributions to deepening the understanding of this subject and highlighting the importance of camels in Arab culture.
