Camel wrestling
Camel wrestling is a sport in which two male camels wrestle. The sport originated among the Turkic tribes more than a thousand years ago. The sport is widespread in Turkey’s Aegean region. Camel wrestling is also practiced in the Middle East and South Asia, but some object to it in this form of wrestling. In Saudi Arabia, camel wrestling has become one of the latest sports that are popular, but in a different way than usual in Turkey, where this sport comes to the fore through an exceptional competition entitled “Al-Qaoud Qa’udak is not subtracted”, where the participant undertakes a task that includes entering an open field with a small camel that does not exceed two years of age, and strives with all his efforts to make the camel sit on the ground. If the contestant succeeds in achieving this feat, and throws up the camels in less than 25 seconds, the competitor wins and advances to the Grand Prix.
