Ahmed Mohamed Youssef is an exceptional Emirati researcher. Youssef has accomplished a unique research project, through which he was able to camouflage between purebred and crossbred camels by utilizing the latest biotechnology techniques and DNA analysis. The pioneering research project contributed to paving the way for him to obtain a master’s degree in Environmental Science from the University of the Emirates. The research vision focused on identifying the optimal camels for participation in races by examining the distinguishing genes. The study concluded that there is a genetic distinction between racing camels and milk camels. Furthermore, the study highlighted that camels exhibit exceptional performance in morning races compared to those held in the afternoon, and it pointed out that age has a significant impact on performance and speed.
