Dubai Camel Racing Club
The Dubai Camel Racing Club is an institution that represents a part of the heritage of the United Arab Emirates, where camel racing is considered one of the most deeply rooted traditional sports in its history. The club was founded by the decision of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Crown Prince of Dubai, on June 3, 2008, with the aim of preserving this popular heritage associated with camels, their customs, and authentic traditions, and ensuring the revival of the cultural heritage and its preservation from disappearing. The club is currently led by His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum. Under his leadership, the club seeks to enhance social responsibility, explore modern techniques to develop camel racing, achieve excellence and innovation in this field. In addition, the club aims to establish a global position for camel racing and promote its development on a wide scale. The Dubai Camel Racing Club reflects the vision of the late founding father of the UAE, Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, which emphasizes the importance of pride in the rich heritage and its preservation for future generations.
