The Sharjah Camel Racing Club is a prominent sports institution in the United Arab Emirates and the region. The club is dedicated to the heritage and culture of camel racing, both at the local and regional levels. It was established based on the vision of His Highness Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad bin Saqr Al Qasimi, the Ruler of Sharjah, aiming to create a comprehensive system that spreads information and knowledge about the sport and culture of camel racing deeply rooted in the history of the UAE and the Arab world. The club is currently led by His Excellency Matar Ali bin Haidan Al Kitbi, who works on increasing awareness and promoting the authentic culture of camels locally, regionally, and internationally.
